Our Story

The pandemic caused everything to come to an abrupt halt, including dance. Throughout the pandemic dancers felt off-course from their heart's true passion. Because of the yearning need for dance, Millennial Dance Project (MDP) was born. MDP is where dancers from different walks of life come together to create and fulfill their passion of dancing.

Kayla has always had a love and passion for dance since the age of 5. She trained, performed and later became an instructor at her childhood studio. She continued to pursue her love for dance and received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Dance from Wayne State University in 2020. During her time at WSU, she was introduced to dance science, allowing her to combine her love for dance and anatomy. To further develop her career in dance science, she became fully certified in Pilates in 2023 and has been enjoying her wellness journey as well as helping others with theirs. In her free time, Kayla likes listening to music, painting and spending time with friends and family.
